About the Initiative
The African Union's Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) is launching "Solidarity in Action," a campaign to amplify African voices and priorities during South Africa's G20 Presidency.
Under the G20 theme of "Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainability," the initiative positions African civil society as co-architects of a fairer, more inclusive global order.
Over one month of coordinated events, African civil society organizations, AU Knowledge Partners, diplomatic missions, and global stakeholders will gather to elevate African priorities across democratic AI governance, gender-responsive peacebuilding, economic inclusion, debt sustainability, and climate justice — aligned with Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want.
