What: Orientation and Dialogue with the new Leadership of the 4th ECOSOCC Permanent General Assembly on the Implementation of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) Tools and Mechanisms for Engagement with the Peace and Security Council.

Who: The African Union Economic, Social, and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) with support from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

Why:  The Orientation and Dialogue event is of utmost significance as it aims to equip the new leadership of the 4th ECOSOCC Permanent General Assembly with the necessary tools and mechanisms for meaningful engagement with the PSC in the context of APSA. This event seeks to enhance the participants' understanding of APSA and bolster engagement between ECOSOCC and the PSC, fostering a more cohesive approach to addressing peace and security challenges across Africa.

Objectives:

1. Enhance the understanding of APSA and its components, including the Peace and Security Council.

2. Clarify ECOSOCC's roles, responsibilities, and mandate within APSA.
